His bankruptcy clients cover the full myriad of debtor-creditor matters, including representing both debtors and creditors. His experience ranges from handling complex corporate reorganization matters to the simplest individual consumer Chapter 7. Mr. Fischoff is widely recognized as one of Long Islands leading practitioners and has appeared regularly on News 12 and in Newsday offering commentary on bankruptcy issues of the day. He is a founding member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys, the leading national organization dedicated to protecting the rights of consumer debtors. He is also one of the first area attorneys to be certified by the American Board of Certification.

He graduated from St. Johns University School of Law in 1983 and is a member of the Bar for the States of New Jersey (1983) and the State of New York (1984). He is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Southern, Northern, Western and Eastern Districts of New York, the District of New Jersey and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the Supreme Court of the United States, he was certified as a specialist in business and consumer bankruptcy by the American Board of Certification in 1993. He is a member of the Nassau County Bar Association.
